Discover the superpowers of bugs! In this immersive world of insects, children will explore the science behind each bug’s unique abilities and traits while realizing their own superpowers. Families will encounter real bugs and huge animatronic bugs. The exhibit will run Sept. 5, 2020 through April 11, 2021.

 

Daily programs

Mission Possible (Starting Sept. 5) - Join Scout, leader of the Bug Squad, as he visits with us about diversity within our ecosystem and the world around us.  We will learn some important skills that will help us to protect and preserve the nature we live in! Listen for announcements indicating program start times.

Creepy Crawly Encounters (Starting Sept. 5) - Ever wonder how a hissing cockroach got its name?  What makes a spider an arachnid and not an insect?  Why do scorpions have those pointy tails? Get the answers to these questions and more during Bug Encounters.  Our bug wranglers will help you get up close and personal with some of our creepy crawly friends!  Listen for announcements indicating program start times.*Note: Due to COVID-19 precautions, bugs will not be handled directly by guests. 

Daily programs will be held with social distancing in place.
