Large Group Presentations
These dynamic, large group presentations are created for school assemblies, PTA/PTO Family Nights, Youth Group Meetings and other large group settings. A museum educator comes to you prepared to
present, answer questions and captivate your group.

The Amazing Bubble Show
Grades: Pre K-6
Cost: $135
Time: 45 minutes
At the museum’s most popular and longest-running science show, you will experience bubbles that float, bubbles that burst into flames and even bubbles you can stand in! The museum’s “Bubbleologist” teaches your
group the science behind bubbles and even provides our
top-secret bubble recipe!

Storytime Theater
Grades: Pre K-3
Cost: $65
Time: 40 minutes
Gather ‘round as the museum storyteller puts a new twist on some of your favorite stories. Through dramatic storytelling and audience participation, fables, legends, and classic fairy tales come to life.

Whiz Bang Super Science Show
Grades: 1-6
Cost: $135
Time: 45 minutes
Whether it’s H2O rockets blasti ng through the skies or a two liter bottle of soda erupting ten feet into the air, the Whiz Bang Super Science show is sure to make science cool as students explore air pressure, water pressure, chemistry and more!

Classroom Enrichment
Presented by museum educators, these programs provide a unique way for students to learn about their world. From geology to Grossology and recycling to respect, Omaha Children’s Museum is proud to offer these
programs sure to complement classroom curriculum. Each program includes a study guide with post-visit activities and information to help extend the experience.

The Skin You Live In
Grades: K-2
Cost: $90
Time: 60 minutes
Maximum Attendance: 30 students
This interactive enrichment program is designed to help children deal with topics such as diversity, self-esteem and acceptance based on the book The Skin You Live In. The children will follow along as the museum educator presents the book and then uses a puppet to discuss what makes us diff erent and unique. This program also supplies each classroom with their own copy of the book The Skin You Live In. Children will complete the program by making a self-portrait, which will be collected and put on display at the. Each student will receive a free pass to
attend the museum with their family to see their picture on display. Pictures will be on display for one month following the program.

The Skin You Live In is in partnership with Chicago Children’s Museum.

Garbagena (gär bij e’ nä)

Maximum Attendance: 30 students
This environmental educational program is centered around Garbagena Junior, a friendly green character who lives in a giant trash can. She’ll roll into your classroom full of everyday items that can be reused or recycled.
Kids will discover ti ps on doing their part to preserve our environment in a way that’s fun and easy to understand. Rethink, Reuse, Recycle!

Grossology in the Classroom
Grades: 3-6

Boogers, zits, poop and barf may be the topics, but it’s biology that students learn while cooking up some of the nastiest treats imaginable. Inspired by the popular traveling exhibit and book series Grossology: The Impolite Science of the Human Body, this irreverent enrichment program brings the science of gross, nasty stuff to life as students learn why our bodies do some of the disgusting things they do.

Rocks Rock: Earth Science in the Classroom
Grades: 1-6
Cost: $85
Time: 90 minutes
Maximum Attendance: 30 students
Students uncover the visible and hidden geology of the world around them. Various activities show how different rock types are formed and provide a glimpse of other geologic processes.

Happy Health with Stuffee
Grades: K-3
Cost: $90
Time: 60 minutes
Maximum Attendance: 30 students
Get the inside scoop about your insides. Our giant friend Stuffee will keep children guessing as they learn about the organs that make our bodies work. Why is the small intestine longer than the long intestine? What is it that our lungs really do? Children will have fun with Stuffee as we pull his insides out. They will also listen to each other’s heart beat and make a Happy Health Book to take home. Happy Health with Stuffee is sponsored by The Nebraska Medical Center.
