Permanent Exhibits

Our permanent exhibits are all new following a $6.6 million renovation completed and commemorated with a Grand Reopening in April 2007.

Charlie Campbell Science and Technology Center Charlie Campbell Science and Technology Center
Kids will love the expanded Super Gravitron, now featuring hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical sections. At the Inventor's Workshop, maneuver gadgets inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's sketchbooks and create your own structures at Dream It! Build It! and the whirligig station. At Science Showplace you'll see live science presentations like Whiz Bang Super Science and The Amazing Bubble Show. In Recollections, move in front of a projector to see your image on a large screen surrounded in high-definition patterns of color!

Creative Arts Center
Our recently renovated Creative Arts Center inspires children to unleash their inner artist. The area features a theater with face painting, costumes and a stage for performances, an Artist-in-Residence studio where kids will learn different types of art from community artists as well as a community sculpture, giant Magna Doodles, make-and-take art projects and more!

Imagination Playground
Imagination takes flight in this spectacular space designed for children ages 0-5. Interactive areas include: Rainbow Farm with a two-story farmhouse, life-size animals and plants to harvest; OCM Engine House No. 1 with a firehouse, climbing structure, water-play area and Fire Engine; Little Market, a grocery store where kids can shop, cashier and learn about healthy eating choices. When your family needs a quiet break, step into the Family Room, where you can read a book, sit down for a snack, parents can enjoy a cup of coffee or use the nursing room.

Wiggle Room
A special area for the museum's youngest visitors, Wiggle Room offers developmentally appropriate and stimulating activities for children ages 0-3. Bubble tubes, table top activities, and a padded space for little ones learning to crawl and walk are just some of the components of this great space!
