A Bug's World
5/25/2013 - 9/8/2013

Get friendly with giant robotic bugs in A Bug's World, the larger-than-life interactive exhibit presented by Mutual of Omaha.

Climb the Toadstool Tower and get eye-to-eye with a massive locust, meet a 20 foot praying mantis, watch a gigantic grasshopper spread its wings, tunnel "underground" for an upclose view of a giant caterpillar and ladybug, see what it's like to be an ant and climb through a kid-sized ant farm, venture inside a giant inflatable caterpillar and complete the obstacle course to make it to the end, catch flying "butterflies" and see real bugs in this colossal exhibit!

Join us on opening day, Saturday, May 25, for our annual Children's Parade beginning at 9 a.m. to kick off the new summer exhibit, A Bug's World. Get buggy with your costumes and floats or come as you are. Families will walk on 20th Street from The Rose Theater to the museum. Register for free to participate in Omaha's only children's parade. Following the parade enjoy the ribbon cutting at 10:30 a.m. and be the first to play in A Bug's World.

Activities include face painting, live bug shows by UNL Professors, giveaways and more! Kickoff summer with us and get buggy!

Click here to register for the parade and enter the float contest for a chance to win a 2 day stay at the Inn at Okoboji!
