Omaha Children's Museum Vision for Creative Arts:
At Omaha Children’s Museum, children and families are allowed and encouraged to be creative and authentic through art experiences. The museum strives to provide a healthy balance between art processes and product, fostering inspiration and expression. Visitors will have opportunities with an array of experiences that are fun, engaging, meaningful and community oriented. The entire family is welcome to participate in all the art experiences that the museum offers.
Homemade play dough can delight the senses and provide hours of free-form sculpting fun. Try our recipe and let us know how it turns out!
3 cups flour
1.5 cups salt
6 tsp. cream of tarter
3 tbsp. oil
3 cups water
Pour all ingredients into a large pot. Stir constantly over medium heat until a dough ball forms by pulling away from the sides. Knead dough until the texture matches play dough (1-2 minutes). Store in plastic container. Should last for 3 months or longer.
