Camps for Ages 4 & 5

 
Camp Over the Rainbow
Just like Dorothy, campers will take a journey over the rainbow to the Land of Oz. Our journey begins on the farm and ends at the Emerald City. We will investigate the science of rainbows and twisters, explore what it means to have a brain, heart and courage, and spend time learning through play in the museum's summer special exhibit "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz."

May the Force Be With You: Mini Jedi Training Camp III
Get ready for a special week-long Jedi Training. Campers will investigate robots, light sabers and space travel. From our Alpha Lab Station on the Moon of Endor, we will investigate droids, light sabers and build models of space communities to support life on new planets. This year, we are introducing new Lego building activities, rocket experimentation and Jedi Council Time activities! This camp is open to first-time and repeat Jedi Training Camp campers.

Mini Girl Power
This version of our Girl Power camp is perfect for girls ages 4 & 5. Spend the week at the museum as we celebrate with our favorite girlfriends, including book characters, princesses and more. This year's camp will feature the books "Being Wendy" and "Ladybug Girl." Each day of camp we will have fun with activities as we build our creativity, literacy and social skills with dress up, tea parties, design and lots of fun projects that will power up your little girl's imagination.

Sid the Science Kid: All New Adventures in Science
At Sid's Science Camp, kids will love learning all about science with hands-on projects inspired by Sid the Science Kid from the hit PBS television show. Each day will begin with a question that will lead campers to a fun-filled day of finding answers with the help of experiments and their new friends. This year, campers will experience all-new topics including rocks and minerals, recycling, weather and the human body!

A Minute to Win It
Fifteen challenges using household items; 60 seconds on the clock; learning science on the line. Think you can do it? Campers will not only get a chance to team up and play the game but they will also learn the science behind air pressure, force and more! There will be some great prizes at stake, too! On your marks, get set, GO!
Ages: 6-8

Discovery Dome: Down to Earth with The Zula Patrol
Spend a week learning about science inside and outside of our brand new, high-definition Discovery Dome planetarium. Campers will go on a fossil-hunting expedition with The Zula Patrol and find out all about the formation and development of Earth, and the life forms who call it home. This camp features hands-on experiments and an opportunity to practice basic science skills.

Girl Power: The Beat Goes On
Get ready to spend the week with some of our favorite girlfriends while getting into the rhythm of musical sound! Each day of camp we will have fun with lots of activities that will build literacy and science skills. Girls will make and bring home delightful projects. Two special books we'll be featuring include "JoJo's Flying Sidekick" and "The Adventures of Isabel." Get ready for a week-long party that's going to ROCK!

Camp Hogwarts
You have been chosen to join your friends Harry, Ron and Hermione in the school of magic! You will be assigned a wand, practice your potions and even create a new game that will rival Quidditch. You won’t want to miss this camp filled with magic and adventure!

Refund Policy
Refunds are given on class registration only if space can be filled by someone on a waiting list or if a class is cancelled
due to insufficient enrollment. A $10 change fee will be charged for any camp changes.
