Omaha Children's Museum

Tinkerfest

Saturday, Sept. 14

9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Celebrate the tinkerer spirit at our annual Tinkerfest! Meet makers, tinkerers, DIYers, & inventors who will share their excitement with young and old. Each table at Tinkerfest will feature something hands-on to engage children, from a toy take-apart to building board games and video games, pottery, creating upcycled crafts and working with textiles. Activities will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., while supplies last.

Featured activities:

- Car take-apart thanks to Baxter Omaha, Metropolitan Community College, Quality Auto Repair & Towing Inc, and Titan Automotive Coatings

- Help build a Rube Goldberg machine

Don't forget to stop by our Tinker Lab and create something that day! Tinkerfest is included with regular museum admission.

call for makers!

In order for Tinkerfest to be a success, we need leaders in the community who are creators, innovators, scientists, and tinkerers. We invite those members of the community to join us for a day to celebrate Tinkering. Our goal is to get kids excited about the limitless possibilities they have with creating things. If you're interested in being a part of this event and having a table, please download this application and apply today! It's free to participate for most vendors. If you plan on selling items, there is a minimal fee included with your table.

Vendor space is limited. Please apply as soon as possible. Submit application to: kweston@ocm.org or fax to 402-342-6165. Please call 402-342-6164 with any questions or if you need further information.
