Tinkerfest

Saturday, Sept. 15

9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Celebrate the tinkerer spirit at our annual Tinkerfest! Meet makers, tinkerers, DIYers, & inventors who will share their excitement with young and old. Each table at Tinkerfest will feature something hands-on to engage children. Some of the participating businesses and makers include Barnes & Noble, Blick Art Supply, Sylvan Learning of Omaha, illustrator Greg Paprocki, Infinite 8 Institute, Lisa's Odd Menagerie, Out of this World Crafts, Omaha Modern Quilt Guild, Young Living Oils, and Love From Rose. There will also be a toy take-apart, bike take-apart, and a Fashion Studio to create scarves, jewelry, and more. Activities run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., while supplies last.

10 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m. - Pottery demonstrations. A small number of children will be able to use the pottery wheel. Most children will make "pinch pot" creations.

9 a.m. until finished - Children can help sculpt a Styrofoam creation.

Don't forget to stop by our Tinker Lab and create something that day! Tinkerfest is included with regular museum admission.
