Streck Science Showplace

Attend engaging and entertaining science shows in the Streck Science Showplace.

The summer science show is “Under the Big POP.” Come one, come all to the Greatest Bubble Show on Earth! Be amazed and learn the science of bubbles in this new circus-themed bubble show.

TAKE THE LEARNING HOME: MAKE BUBBLES!

Bubbles are science in action! See one of the museum's Science Shows, then put on your own science show at home with easy homemade bubbles. Here's our favorite recipe!

1. Pour 1 cup of water in a bucket or tub.

2. Add 1 tablespoon of dish soap.

3. Add 1 teaspoon of corn syrup.

4. Stir and make bubbles!

The bubble juice gets better the next day!

Bubble wands: Pipe cleaners, straws, cookie cutters, clean fly swatter and coat hangers all make great do-it-yourself wands!

If you want to make bubbles for a big party, here is the recipe we use for our science shows!

Omaha Children’s Museum Super Bubble Juice

3 gallons water
32 oz. bottle Dawn dish soap
1 to 2 cups corn syrup

*1-2 cups commercial bubble juice (like Gazillions) optional
