Summer Camp FAQ

Get ready for plenty of learning and fun at Omaha Children’s Museum’s summer camps. Our camps feature engaging curriculum and great instructors who make every day exciting and new. Camps include daily play in the museum and a Meet the Teacher Night. Whether your child wants to venture into the sewers with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, learn wizarding spells or train to be a Jedi, Omaha Children’s Museum has the perfect summer camp.

Age Requirements

Children must be within the age range for each camp before camp begins.


Camps are taught by trained and experienced museum educators. All museum staff have undergone background checks. 

Meet The Teacher Night

Families can meet their child's camp counselors, learn about the camp curriculum and explore the museum during Meet The Teacher Night. Meet The Teacher Night is July 19 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The event is free to attend for families that have a child registered in a 2018 Omaha Children's Museum summer camp. Scheduling and Refunds

Camp space is limited and registration is handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Parents will receive an informational packet via email prior to camp. Omaha Children’s Museum reserves the right to cancel camps that do not meet minimum enrollment. All camp fees are non-refundable, except in the instance a camp
does not meet minimum enrollment. A $10 per child fee applies when switching camps or dates.

Camp Fees

Week long camps are $120 for members and $135 for non-members. $10 early bird discount applies when registered by April 2.

Before & After Care

During this time, children play games, draw, read or participate in other activities supervised by museum staff. Before and after care is available for all of our summer camp sessions.

Before Care: 7:45 – 9 a.m.

After Care: 4 – 5:15 p.m.

$30/week (morning & afternoon); $15/week (morning or afternoon); $10/day for drop-in session* (morning or afternoon)

Lunch Care

Lunch Care may be purchased for half-day campers. Campers need to bring their own lunches as lunch is not provided by the museum. Lunch Care is provided free of charge for all-day campers from Noon - 1 pm.

Children can enjoy a full day of activities at Omaha Children’s Museum with a morning and an afternoon camp! See listings for dates. Lunch time will be from Noon – 1 p.m. and will be supervised by museum staff. Campers should bring their own lunches.
