Omaha Children’s Museum is proud to present the Homeschool Series for the 2009-2010 school year. Our Science and Technology Learning Lab has all the tools and instruments necessary for very scientific, highly educational and extremely fun investigation of math and science concepts. Come conduct experiments and create inventions with our trained museum educators.

Times: Morning Session; 10-11:30 a.m.
Afternoon Session; 1-2:30 p.m.
Ages: 6-12
Cost: $8 per session*
*Does not include museum admission for students or adults. Museum admission is required to enter all lab sessions. Sessions must be paid in advance and are non-refundable.
Class Size: 50 students (3 groups)

Cancellation: The museum reserves the right to cancel any workshop if the minimum enrollment is not met. Participants will be notified five days in advance and will receive a full refund.
Animal Parade
September 1, 2009
Learn all about mammals and the amazing world of animal life. Get up close and personal with some amazing creatures from the animal kingdom. Between sessions there will be a parade and special lunch. Bring your favorite stuffed animal or a picture of your pet to show off.
Mad Professor’s Potions & Lotions Chemistry Lab

See what cool things can be made by mixing them up a little. Learn how to detect chemical reactions and then make your own take-home concoction. There will be special dry ice demonstrations and glow in the dark wonders.
The Balancing Act!

Experiment with the laws of physics and see how playing with the center of gravity can create some amazing effects. Learn how people can walk across a tight rope then try to balance a broom on your finger or a balloon on your nose.
Winter on a Space Station
