Thomas Miller is the museum’s Development Assistant. He was born in Washington D.C. then moved to Denver before spending most of his childhood in Blair, Nebraska. Thomas graduated from the University of Nebraska Omaha with a degree in Political Science.

His favorite place in the museum is the temporary exhibits.

“Not only do I love the exhibits, I love the creative process that goes into making them OCM great!” Thomas said.

Thomas’s favorite part of his day is during huddle time when the staff meets in the morning to discuss what is taking place during the day.

“I get to see all the smiling faces that make coming to work so great,” Thomas said.

Thomas said he cares about kids because he is still a kid at heart. He is the museum’s resident jokester and often makes up nicknames for himself and others. Thomas’s two favorite children’s books of all time are And to Think That I saw It on Mulberry Street and The 500 hats of Bartholomew Cubbins. If Thomas could be any fictional character he would choose to be Jason Bourne.

Something that most people don’t know about Thomas is that he is allergic to cold temperatures.

“Yes it is a real thing!” Thomas said. But the rest of the team thinks it may just be another one of Thomas’s jokes.
