Guest Post: 6 Reasons We Love our Membership to the Omaha Children's Museum!
We have been members of the Omaha Children's Museum since
our children were very little and played in the Wiggle Room. Every year, it has
been fun watching them explore different areas as their interests and abilities
The membership has provided hours of family fun and helped
us create memories together. We have visited every past Special Exhibit with
our favorites including the recent Super Powers, Once Upon A Farm, Itty Bitty
City, and A Bug's World.
Are you considering purchasing one for your family? Here are
6 reasons why we love our Omaha Children's Museum Membership:
One Hour of Extra Play on Tuesday Mornings
Members can enjoy an extra hour of play every Tuesday from
9-10 a.m. Get a head start before the busy crowds, which is especially helpful
when a new exhibit opens up!
Discounts on Special Events, Summer Camps, and Birthday Parties
In addition to the regular programming and exhibits, members
receive a special discount on the Omaha Children's Museum Special Events
including the Fairytale Ball, variety of fun-filled Summer Camps, and exciting
As one of the favorite family attractions in Omaha, the
Children's Museum partners with various organizations to offer special
membership benefits. For example, this April, members can visit the Omaha Kroc
Center for free and save if they decide to purchase a membership there!
Flexibility and Less Stress
With so many fun areas to explore, it is almost impossible
to see everything in one day. With unlimited visits with a membership, we can
focus on specific areas of the museum each time. Some days, we spend all of our
time in Maker Space, other times in the Ball Room, and others checking out the
newest Special Exhibit.
This added flexibility and knowledge that we do not have to rush and see
everything in one day, adds to each day's visit and enjoyment. We can stop and
watch the Science Shows, play a little with the Rhythm Exploration, or create
something new in the Creative Arts Center.
Some days we have stopped in for an hour before a show at The Rose Theater, or
when our outdoor plans changed due to rain, we know we can always visit The
Omaha Children's Museum and enjoy quality indoor fun.
Memberships to local attractions are
a perfect gift, offering a year of family fun. The Children's Museum makes it
easy with offering gift memberships, including a special Grandparents
6. Reciprocal Membership Program
know that with an Omaha Children's Museum Membership, you can receive Free
Admission to more than 250 science and technology centers across the country?
When we travel outside of Omaha, we always check this list to see if this
includes any museums where we will be traveling. One of our favorites is
Science City in Union Station in Kansas City - free for Omaha Children's Museum
to see a list of participating museums, and to view restrictions.
Additionally, the Children's Museum offers Educator and
Military discounts on memberships. Members also receive a Membership
Newsletter, filled with upcoming events, special programs, and exciting new
exhibits to help parents plan ahead and keep up with all that is going on.
