These are exciting times at Omaha Children’s Museum - a New Year with lots of happy faces coming through our doors. We said goodbye to the dinosaurs last weekend. Today we say hello to a clean and bright new look, new web site, some fresh updates inside the museum’s walls and lots of excitement for the year ahead.
With the New Year comes our new blog (thanks for stopping by!), which is appropriately called The Bright Side. Here we’ll focus not only on museum happenings, but on great ideas for your family, child development and much more.
The year of 2011 brought more than 275,000 guests through the museum’s doors (this is a record - Wow!), lots of new programs and spectacular exhibits, tremendous support from our local community and beyond. All of it adds up to a banner year.
And now, the doors of 2012 have opened. We’ve resolved to make it an amazing year and look forward to blazing new trails and making a difference in the lives of more children and families.
There are so many great things on the horizon. Three new traveling exhibits: Construction Zone: Return of the Bulldozer, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and Itty Bitty City; wonderful new programs and museum exhibit updates that will be inspiring, educational and fun. Our partnerships from across the community are growing daily. They make us stronger and allow us to reach children and family in ways we could only imagine on our own.
Thanks for being a part of the Omaha Children’s Museum journey! Please feel free to leave comments here. And, if you have ideas for what you’d like to see us cover in the blog, please share. Here’s to a magical year ahead!
