Omaha's Biggest Baby Shower

New and expectant moms (and dads) will be showered with useful information, items and resources for parenthood along with plenty of pampering and fun!

Primary sponsor, Methodist Health System, will provide several presentations on topics including:

4:15 p.m. Breastfeeding Basics, Kolene Plummer
5:15 p.m. Safe Sleepers, Kolene Plummer
6 p.m. Inoculations, Dr. Rosann Nichols

Activities will take place throughout the museum’s spaces, highlights include:

Pampering
• Beauty Brands will provide Massage & Hand Treatments to expectant moms
• Universal College of Healing Arts providing Chair Massages for expectant moms
• Mary Kay will provide Satin Hands treatments to expectant moms

Food
• Whole Foods Market will serve samples of some of the Top Ten Power Foods for Pregnant and Nursing Moms

Information
• Dr. Laura Jana, spokesperson for American Academy of Pediatrics, will hold a Question/Answer Session for the duration of the event and her books will be available for purchase

Activities
• Kristi Pederson, glass fusion artist and Omaha Children’s Museum Artist-in-Residence, will make glass pendants with the first 45 expectant moms at the event. Pendants will also be available for sale
• Kindermusik will provide and demonstrate interactive classes with music and instruments for all in attendance
• Omaha Yoga School will provide a demonstration of prenatal yoga
• Judy Andrews, Omaha Children’s Museum early childhood coordinator, will provide information about the museum’s Busy Baby Art Program and will make sun catchers with toddlers and chalk art with babies who attend.
