The Green Team
The museum's Green Team is made up of people who are committed to saving the Earth and teaching children to be environmentally conscious citizens. The museum offers programming at the museum and in the community with "Garbagena" our resident recycling expert, crafts made with recycled materials and an entire week of focused activities during Green Week.
Healthy Choices
Omaha Children's Museum encourages children and families to make healthy choices in their everyday lives. Programs like Healthy Back to School and Healthy Trick-or-Treat Nights bring these healthy options to light. Good to Grow promotes active lifestyles. Families can plan their own active lives at the Good to Grow web site.
Welcome Fund
Every child who wants to visit Omaha Children's Museum should have the opportunity, that's why the museum's donor-supported Welcome Fund provides subsidized memberships to families that wouldn't otherwise be able to afford them. Carefree Kids
This is a special event for children whose immune systems have been compromised and their families. We have worked with medical professionals to create an environment that is clean, safe and “carefree” so families can learn, play and enjoy time together. For this very special evening, the museum welcomes families free of charge.
Autism Nights
A special evening for children with Autism and their families. The museum has worked with UNMC and the GWR Sunshine Foundation to create an appropriate environment.
The Great Safety Adventure
